Lavender is probably one of the most used essential oils. It’s mainly known for it’s soothing smell, but can also be used in both homemade skin care and hair care for its healing properties.
- Lavender oil balances the sebum production and helps to renew the skin, and is therefore good both as an acne treatment or treatment for oily skin, and to help fight wrinkles. Use in skin toners, face masks, body oils or any other homemade skin care product.
- Can be used to treat insect bites, sunburn or minor burns. Mix with equal parts of a vegetable oil and apply to affected areas.
- Especially good for treating dandruff. Add some lavender essential oil to your regular shampoo or conditioner, or mix into hair masks, hair rinses or hair oils
