This is an extremely effective exfoliating treatment for clear, smooth skin with fewer pores. It helps against acne, but can ge rough so if your acne is causing you sensitive skin you should be careful with this recipe. Use maximum twice a week, my recommendation is to use it once a week or when needed.
- 1 tbs ascorbic acid (you can find it in the spice section in most larger shops) or a pulverized vitamin c tablet
- 1 tbs ground nutmeg
- castor oil or olive oil
Combine the dry ingredients. Pour the vegetable oil over the powder until it’s covered and mix well. The amount of oil you use is up to you – the more oil you use, the milder the scrub will be.
To use, scrub your face carefully with circular motions. Leave on for up to 10 minutes. If you face starts stinging or if it feels uncomfortable, rinse off sooner. Rinse of in warm water, apply a light vegetable oil if needed.
